About Clara
A Life Lived Through
the Fire
Clara McGee lost her father to an industrial accident when she was 11 years old. Her mother, overwhelmed and angry, struggled to raise Clara and her brothers. Clara has also carried trauma no woman should have to carry alone — and she carried it quietly, for a long time. At 18, she did what she knew how to do — she left and joined the United States Marine Corps. That decision shaped everything.
She spent over 20 years in a marriage to a narcissist. She battled a gambling addiction that brought her to the edge of losing everything — her marriage, her home, her sense of self — and faced financial ruin. She has been estranged from family on both sides. She has sat in the wreckage of things she once loved and wondered if God was even listening.
He was. He is. And through all of it — she kept showing up. She built a career spanning nearly four decades, not because life was easy, but because she refused to let the hard things have the final word. And in 2024, she earned her Bachelor of Science degree — with honors. She is proof that it is never too late to rise.
Clara does not turn away from people in need. She never has. When someone is hurting, she runs toward them — not away. This business is her calling from God — to help women who have lived what she has lived find their own strength and their own path forward.
She is not a perfect Christian. She is a real one. And that makes all the difference.
